ORETO FEST 2007

Well, this past weekend was Ross' Family reunion and with his last name being "Oreto" is was only fitting to call it "Oreto Fest". They have been calling it that for years and I think it's great. His aunts, uncles, cousins and more were there and we had a fabulous time. This year it was in Pikeville, Tennessee (where Ross is from) and the lunch/dinner was at his Dad and step-Mom's house. The house is up on a mountain that overlooks the valley. It is really beautiful (as you can see). He has a really fun family and we sat around chit chattin and playing the guitar singing along to the songs we knew. It was an awesome weekend.

Miss you all!! G

ATLANTA TRIP - ST. LOUIS CARDINALS vs. ATLANTA BRAVES

This weekend we went to Atlanta for a St. Louis Cardinals vs Atlanta Braves game. As you can see, I was pulling for the Cardinals and Ross was pulling for the Braves. On Friday night, the Cardinals won (yeah), but then Saturday, the game we went to, the Cardinals got ROCKED. They lost 14-6 so of course Ross was trying to get me to do the "Tomahawk Chop" (something the Braves Fans do) the entire game and I refused. But then the Cardinals won on Sunday, so I was happy that we took 2 out of 3 games.
It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go to another game. Go Cardinals!!!!
Miss you, G

UTAH Here they Come!

Well, the days are approaching fast. My friends, Lori, Terry and their 2 boys Lance and Aaron are moving to Utah. The will be leaving the last weekend in July, so last weekend we had a little fiesta for them. It was fun. The move will be bitter sweet and I will miss them like crazy, but this will be really good for them. AND, they will live only about 1 hour 1/2 from Vegas! So, looks like we will be planning a trip out west soon!

Here are a couple more photos. In the top one (and a little in the bottom one), you can see LP Field which is where the Tennessee Titans (pro NFL football team) play. I love that the stadium is right in the heart of downtown. See ya! G

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!! I hope you all had a fun and safe fourth. We went downtown Nashville to see the fireworks. Ross' friend has an apartment down there, so a group of us met there and went to the rooftop of the building to see the show. It was really, really cool.
Miss you guys!! G
